I got to go back to my hometown to do this shoot, and had so much fun! I will always hold this little town close to my heart (and secretly wish that I still lived there). It's so fun to traipse around your old stomping grounds and be able to see it in a new light.

The Miller family actually hails from Charlotte, but were back in town to visit family on their spring break. Mom is also from this little town, that's how we knew each other, we went to school together and had reconnected on Facebook. You gotta love Facebook. ;)

These 4 children were fantastic!!! So well mannered and well behaved. They made this shoot easy peasy!

This young man is gorgeous. I don't think he could take a bad picture if he tried! Every single shot I took of him was beautiful!! Sooo photogenic...is that a compliment to a 13 year old boy?

And this girl...stunning. Those freckles? Good grief....I love freckles.

This young man? Sassy....that's all I have to say. ;)

And last, but not least....Little Miss. I must have taken over 50 shots of her, and very few would she actually look at me....lol.

But she's adorable...yes? Definitely.

Thank you Miller's for a wonderful shoot. I loved your casual laid back coolness. It was my pleasure all the way around.

I like to call her LaLa, I'm not sure why. I love this face. I don't think I got one smile out of her the whole session.

But my goodness.....she is beautiful, just like her mama.

And full of attitude, just like her Aunt Macey. ;)

Belly

Wow. I've been really quiet on this blog for quite a while hmmmm? Well no more! I've got lots of stuff coming up and you'll get all the gory details right here.

It's been a year since I had done a maternity shoot. I was sooooo excited when this mama contacted me about capturing her 'bump'.

Such a fun mama! She is gorgeous, confident and serene as you will see in the images. And oh my goodness you can FEEL the love she has for her man and her little one. I had such a good time .

This reminds me of a 50's pinup model...no? She is one hot mama, let me tell you. ;)

Bed rest? My arse!!! This lady knows how to work the camera!

This is Maya. Oh my heavens is she beautiful....and can't wait for her little brother to come out!

And look at these two would ya. Love......it's palpable.

We are a family.

Thank you Olivares family for letting me into your home and capturing these sweet moments. It was a joy. Your openness and creative energy was thrilling.

Be still my uterus.....

Ohhhhh, this baby. Literally made my uterus twitchy.

She was an absolute delight to shoot. She was snoozing most of the time, and when she wasn't she didn't make a peep. She gets a gold star for good behavior.

This little girls mama and I have a history. She used to babysit for my two older kids when they were really little,and I used to teach a young girls class at church that she was a part of. I believe she was 12-13 at the time. We became quite close, she used to spend the night with me and we would go on shopping trips together. So, it was extra special that I got to take her newborn's pics. Such a privilege, thank you Jessie.
